You strive for what you are passionate about. Some use the word "calling," others just love to do a special thing, and still others join a cause that they are passionate about. So, what are you passionate about?

Your way of connecting with people is key to your success. Personality. Relational style. Emotional Intelligence. All these will influence your day-to-day connections and how you can use the talents you have.

Others often see and recognize your strengths and talents first. You do have them—these "special things" that you're just good at. Some are even spiritual gifts. Have you ever assessed what your strengths are?

Apart from your strengths, you also have skills—things that you have learned over time, such as certificates earned, degrees pursued, or a trade acquired. Combined with your strengths, you accomplish a lot.

And then there are the things you have experienced—the good, the bad, and the ugly. Regardless of the outcome or emotion connected with these events, they have shaped you. Now it is time to make them your ally.

Sometimes, we are our own worst enemies. We boycott the very thing we want to achieve. Temptations keep us from giving our best. And external obstacles block our ways. Lead yourself through these weakening areas.

Your view of God will determine your values. And your values will determine your walk. Regardless if you believe in God or doubt he exists, looking at your view about God might yet be the most important element of the portfolio.
