A man’s Prayer

There is nothing stronger than a man focused on his mission. And there is nothing more powerful than a man including the Almighty God in his plans.

Years back, I compiled the most powerful prayer ever taught to men (The Lord’s Prayer) with the duties every man must face and complete. The prayer below became an integral part of the men’s gatherings in our church and has stirred the hearts and minds of all of us to be the best version of ourselves.

As you read this prayer, make it a point to think through every aspect of it. Make it yours, and work on keeping every word you say. May God bless you as you live up to be a Man of God!

A Man’s Prayer

Almighty Heavenly Father,

May You be glorified in all the earth and Your Will be done in my life. May Your Kingdom be displayed, in and through me always.

You have called me to be a MAN. Grant me to be a Man of God.

Mold me into Your image and keep me true to You, instructing me in Your ways and giving me strength in my daily battles. Deliver me from the evil one and let me be victorious and strong.

Let me be a faithful leader and lover to my wife, seeking her best, leading her towards a sanctified life, displaying your love and purity and willing to give my life for her.

Let me be a mentor and father to my children, teaching them Your ways, guiding them until they go their way, and preparing them for life, a life that glorifies You.

Let me be a true brother to my friends, in fellowship sharpening them, as well as being sharpened, to be a tool worthy of Your calling, always ready to be used for Your purpose.

Let me be a leader in my world of influence, always seeking the best in others and You being glorified. Let me be loyal to my superiors, respectful and honorable in word and deed.

In times of doubt, grant me faith; in temptations, pull me to you, to be strong to resist; if I screw up, give me the courage to try again.

For it is in You, Your Kingdom, and Your Glory, that I find wisdom and power to the answers of this prayer.

In the Name of Jesus Christ I pray,

Amen
